Grant Reeher, Director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at Syracuse University, recently interviewed Representative John Katko (NY-24) for the Campbell Conversations on WRVO Public Media. The first half of the hour long program focused on The Tax Cuts and Job Act, which Representative Katko voted for.

The second half focused on the Trump presidency and what to expect from Congress this year. Representative Katko described President Trump’s leadership in year one as “spotty for sure” (34:40 mark) and reminded voters that he did not vote for him. “I pray every night that he gets rid of Twitter,” Katko said. “His bedside manner stinks sometimes, let’s face it.” This “drama” has overshadowed what Congress has done and advancements with the economy and counter-terrorism.
